Cellular Transport

Destruction of worn-out organelle:

  1. membrane formed around the organelle to become a vesicle.
  2. lysosome fused with the membrane of the vesicle, release hydrolytic enzyme to digest.
  3. After digestion, the digested product is absorbed by the rest of the cytoplasm.

Phagocytosis

  1. extension of cell membrane forming pseudopodium, surrounded the solid.
  2. particle within a membrane-bounded vesicle, is taken into the cell.
  3. lysosome fused with the membrane of the vesicle, release hydrolytic enzyme to digest.
  4. After digestion, the digested product is absorbed by the rest of the cytoplasm.

Pinocytosis

  1. lysosome fused with the cell membrane, releasing hydrolytic enzyme out the cell.
  2. the solid is digested by the enzyme forming liquid.
  3. it is then absorbed by the cell.
